Privacy Policy

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name and email address, and either a password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) or, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares with us to authenticate you.

Birth profile information. To generate a chart, we collect a date of birth, time of birth (or an approximate window, if you don't know the exact time), and place of birth (city and geographic coordinates). You can create birth profiles for yourself or for others in your care — for example, a child or family member — and remain responsible for having the right to share that information with us on their behalf.

Usage information. We keep a record of the charts, insights, and other content you generate so we can show them back to you and avoid regenerating unchanged content. We also collect basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and access timestamps) for security and diagnostic purposes.

• To calculate your Vedic (sidereal) birth chart and related astrological data.
• To generate plain-language insights, predictions, and naming suggestions based on that chart.
• To create and secure your account, and to authenticate you when you sign in.
• To respond to support requests you send us.
• To send you product updates or Vedic-astrology content if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the service.

Chart calculation itself — planetary positions, houses, nakshatras, dasha periods, and dosha checks — is performed entirely by our own astronomy engine, on our own servers. No birth data is sent to a third party for this step.

Plain-language interpretations (personality summaries, life-area insights, dasha and dosha explanations, rashi predictions, and naming suggestions) are generated using a third-party AI service. To produce these, the relevant chart data — for example, planetary placements and house positions — is sent to our AI provider, OpenRouter, which routes the request to an underlying language model. We do not send your name, contact details, or exact birth place text as part of these requests; only the structured astrological data needed to generate the interpretation is shared.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

• Service providers. With infrastructure and AI providers (such as OpenRouter) who process data on our behalf, solely to operate the service.
• Google Sign-In. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google processes the authentication exchange according to its own privacy policy.
• Legal reasons. If required to comply with applicable law, regulation, or a valid legal process.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the same protections described here.

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in between visits and to remember display preferences (such as your preferred language or reading style). We don't use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We retain your account and birth profile data for as long as your account is active, so you can return to previously generated charts and insights without regenerating them. You can delete a birth profile or your account at any time; we remove the associated data within a reasonable period afterward, except where we're required to retain it for legal or security purposes.

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access-controlled infrastructure — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data protected and to respond promptly to any issue.

You can review, correct, or delete any birth profile from your dashboard at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data — including the right to request a copy of it, or to ask us to delete it entirely. DigitalKundali is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect account information from anyone under 13. Birth profiles for children may be created only by a parent or legal guardian on the child's behalf, using the guardian's own account.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
